The information was made public by Dmitry Mironchik, the spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday, 18 January.
The intergovernmental visa abolition agreement between Belarus and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China comes into force on 13 February.
The Belarusians and Chinese citizens living in Hong Kong will be allowed to enter, leave, remain within, or transit through Hong Kong and Belarus without visas for the period of up to 14 days.
According to experts, the abolition of visas between Belarus and Hong Kong will greatly enhance business and tourism exchanges.
Recall that earlier Belarusians paid $30 for a visa to Hong Kong, while citizens of Hong Kong were able to take advantage of 5-day visa-free entry to Belarus,
Meanwhile, Belarus and China are considering the possibility of introducing 30-day visa-free entry on a mutual basis.
At present there’s an agreement about visa-free entry for holders of diplomatic and service passports, and for tourist groups between the two countries.
By the way, tourist information at Minsk airport is now shown in four languages – Chinese, Russian, English and Belarusian.
