Brief information about the university
BSUIR is the leading IT University of the country. It was opened on March 15, 1964 and then was called Minsk Radio Technical Institute (MRTI). After 11 years at the All-Union review of the introduction of science and technology in the national economy, MRTI was recognized as the best university. On November 16, 1993, MRTI was renamed into Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR). This name it bears until nowadays.
BSUIR offers foreign citizens:

- additional education in educational centers of the leading world companies Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, SAP, National Instruments, INTES, A1QA, Android Software Center;
- an international diploma recognized throughout the world;

In 2019 the entrance minimum for the paid department of the faculty was 246 points, and for the budget 335 points.
- Information Technologies and Management Faculty.
The minimum for a paid department in 2019 was 250 points, and for the budget 319 points.
- Faculty of Engineering and Economics.
The minimum for the paid department was 205, and for the budget 358 points.
- Computer design faculty.
To enter the paid department of computer design faculty, an applicant had to gain a minimum of 247 points, and the budget department 323 points.
- Faculty of Radio Engineering and Electronics.
The minimum score for the paid department was 241 points, and the free one was 296 points.
Annual tuition fee
Training in preparatory courses in Russian will cost you 2000$ for 9 months, and in English – 4000$ for the same period.
Studying at the university lasts 4-5 years. Tuition in Russian is 2500$ per year, and in English – 5000$ per year.

Brief information about the university
On June 1, 1930 the Lesnoy Institute was opened, and already 4 years later it was renamed into the Belarusian Lesotechnical Institute. In 1935, the Institute was named after S. M. Kirov. At the beginning of World War II the Institute was evacuated to Sverdlovsk, and in 1946 it moved to Minsk.
Due to the rapid development of the chemical industry, the Institute was entrusted with training engineering and scientific personnel and in 1980, it was renamed into the Kirov Belarusian Technological Institute.
The real heyday of the Technological Institute began in the late 1980s: science was developing, new specialties were opened, the material base was improving, and the Institute was equipped with unique laboratory equipment. In 1993, the Government of Belarus decided to rename the Institute into the Belarusian State Technological University.
Specialties
Training of IT-specialists in BSTU is held at the Faculty of Information Technology. It consists of 6 departments and 4 specialties:
- information systems and technologies;
- information security software for mobile systems;
- information technology software;
- design of electronic and web publications.
Pass mark
In 2019, in the specialty "Information Systems and Technologies" the minimum number of points for paid training was 252, and for the budget 320 points.
In order to enter a paid training in the specialty "Information security software for mobile systems" it was necessary to gain a minimum of 240 points, and for the budget 318 points.
In order to study in the field of information technology software on a fee-paying basis, an applicant had to submit documents with a minimum of 272 points, and on a budget basis with 330 points.
In the specialty "Design of electronic and web publishing" the minimum passing score for paid training was 250 points, and on a budget of 324 points.
Annual tuition fee
The cost of training in Russian language courses is:
- 1290$ - 10 months;
- 860$ - 6 months;
- 730$ - 5 months;
- 430$ - 3 months;
- 150$ - 1 month.
The cost of training at BSTU is 2830$ per year in Russian and 5000$ per year in English. The duration of the curriculum is 4.5-5 years. However, please note that the cost changes annually, you need to clarify it in the selection committee.
