Industrial Association “Belorusneft”

The factory produces a full cycle of work related to oil exploration and production, both in the Republic of Belarus and abroad: in the Russian Federation, Venezuela, Ecuador and other countries.

1.645 million tons of oil is produced annually in Belarus. The stabilization of oil production volumes since 2013 has been achieved thanks to the use of modern well development methods, the production of hard-to-recover oil reserves, the introduction of new equipment and technologies.

The largest network of filling stations under the Belorusneft brand provides almost 70 percent of the volume of motor fuel sales in the country and provides a number of services to consumers at the most modern level.

Belorusneft is also launching a large-scale innovative project to develop the tourism potential of Belarus, the routes of the project will begin at the organization’s gas station.

Public corporation “Mozyr Oil Refinery”

Mozyr Oil Refinery produces a wide range of petroleum products. Among them: unleaded gasoline; diesel fuel for a temperate climate, diesel fuel for a cold and arctic climate, household heating oil, heating oil, roofing oil bitumen, building oil bitumen, road bitumen; liquefied hydrocarbon fuel gases of the SPBT grade for domestic consumption, liquefied hydrocarbon gas of the PBA grade and liquefied hydrocarbon gases; vacuum gas oils; methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE); raw materials for the production of petroleum bitumen; technical sulfur; environmentally improved kerosene; petroleum benzene.

The products of the Mozyr Refinery are characterized by:

low content of sulfur compounds in unleaded gasoline, diesel fuels, lighting kerosene;

lack of octane boosting and other additives in gasoline.

The plant also produces competitive high quality products that meet the requirements of national and foreign standards. Continuous improvement of the technological scheme of the plant allows improving the quality of products, focusing on the requirements of the world market, the requirements of environmental legislation and labor protection.

Public corporation “Naftan”

At present "Naftan" is a large petrochemical complex that produces various types of fuel, lubricating oils and bitumen, aromatic hydrocarbons and petrochemical products.

A large-scale investment program is being implemented at Naftan. It is based on the implementation of technological solutions aimed at increasing the depth of oil refining up to 92%.

Over the past few years, the quality of the fuels produced by Naftan has been brought in line with European specifications. "Naftan" produces AI-92 and AI-95 gasolines, and also increases the production of its main export product - diesel fuel, which meets the Euro-5 standard.

Diversification of the assortment and modernization of the oil production continues. Among the latest innovations are the all-season engine oils Naftan Garant (SJ / CD) and Naftan Premier (SL / CF).

Petroleum products produced in Belarus

More than 500 types of petrochemical and chemical products are produced in Belarus. The petrochemical complex of Belarus includes organizations for the extraction, processing and transportation of oil, oil products supply, chemistry and petrochemistry, a number of scientific, design, construction, repair and commissioning organizations.

Export of petroleum products

In April-June 2019, the export of oil products from Belarus was sharply reduced due to oil force majeure due to the supply of chloride-contaminated oil from the Russian Federation. Since July, export volume has gradually recovered and reached the traditional level of about 1 million per month at the end of the year.

In value terms, the export of oil products in 2019 decreased by 19.7% to $ 5.2 billion. The average price of export of oil products last year amounted to $ 494.5 per ton (a decrease of 9%).

In the structure of exports for 2019, deliveries to the EU countries amounted to 7 million tons (a decrease of 17.6%) by $ 3.06 billion (a decrease of 27.3%).

By the end of the year, supplies of Belarusian oil products to Ukraine maintained positive dynamics and increased by 4.6% to 3.3 million tons. In value terms, exports to Ukraine decreased by 4.1% to $ 2 billion due to a decrease in the average supply price by 8.3% to $ 607.6 per ton.

At the end of 2019, Belarus also restored the positive dynamics of oil exports of its own production, which was stopped in May due to oil force majeure and resumed in June, with a gradual recovery in volumes. In 2018, Belarus reduced its export of oil products by 3.1% to 11.93 million tons. Export of oil of own production amounted to 1.64 million tons, an increase of 1.2%.

International relations of Belarus in the field of oil refining

Russia is the main oil supplier of Belarus. Recently, there have been difficulties with deliveries. The new year for the Belarusian-Russian relations began with the oil crisis: on January 1, Russia cut off oil supplies to Belarusian refineries, since the contracts expired on December 31, 2019. Minsk and Moscow negotiated all December - almost until the chimes, but they could not agree on the price of oil. After that, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko ordered the supply of oil from alternative sources. The Belarusian state concern Belneftekhim has confirmed that the supply of Russian oil has been stopped, and the load has been reduced to a technological minimum.
