History of the Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Gervyaty
The Church of the Holy Trinity has been known since 1526, when Bishop Jan founded a wooden church here in honor of the Catholic parish. Only 300 years later, the construction was completed, and the locals were able to see the majestic building in the neo-Gothic style.
It is said that in preparation for construction, a temporary brick factory was opened here. The builders used a not quite standard technique - lime was mixed with raw eggs.
Surprisingly, not all of the material was available, so, for example, the tiles were delivered from Germany. The construction was approached with special care and caution, so the professionalism of the work done is felt in every detail of the structure. Today the Gervyat Church is one of the three highest churches in Belarus.
