History of the Trinity Church in the town of Glubokoe
The small town of Glubokoe is located in the Vitebsk region. The name of the town was not given by chance, because in the nearest area there are 5 lakes. The most famous here is the Trinity Church, which was built of stone in the period from 1764 to 1782, and in 1783 it was consecrated by Bishop P. Tochilovsky.
The history of the church is connected with the sad events of the 19th century, when the authorities closed the Carmelite monastery and another Catholic cathedral, which led to the great popularity of the Trinity Church due to the absence of other churches. This demand made it necessary to expand the temple for a comfortable stay for all parishioners.

The architects chose the Vilna Baroque style for the Trinity Church. This can be seen in the clear silhouette that forms the 2 towers. When the architect Zaro was rebuilding, it was decided to enlarge both towers by two tiers.
From the point of view of decoration, the interior is clearly sustained in the characteristic Vilna style. The main facade is decorated with a large number of decorative elements, which has always attracted tourists from different parts of the world.

Glubokoe is a small village 168 km from the capital of Belarus. There is no direct transport connection to Glubokoe, so we suggest you get to the church by car: the journey will take about 1.5 hours (from Minsk).
The most optimal route: 10 km from MKAD to Ostroshitsky Gorodok, turn to Pleschenitsy (45 km to Pleschenitsy), turn to Dokshitsy (72 km to Dokshitsy), turn to Glubokoe (29 km to Glubokoe).
