Essencial information about the Oktyabr cinema
Cinema "Oktyabr" is the largest and one of the oldest cinemas in Minsk. The cinema has the largest cinema hall in Belarus. The spacious hall with a wide-screen display can easily accommodate up to 1,181 visitors.
In the cinema, the main film premieres, festivals, competitions and exhibitions take place.
History of the Oktyabr cinema
The building of the cinema, designed by the architect V. I. Malyshev, is located on Independence Avenue, at the metro station "Academiya Nauk". The cinema has a spacious lobby for spectators waiting for their movie show, a cafe and pizzeria that are open in the evening, a winter garden and a bar.
The building of the cinema and the halls were repeatedly updated and repaired. Now the cinema offers comfortable and cozy conditions, as well as the latest movie equipment.
