History of Belarusian State University of Physical Education

The history of the educational institution begins in 1937, when the technical school was reorganized into the Institute of Physical Culture. The institute trained graduates in the field of sports and health until 1941. During the Second World War, the institute stopped its activities, and continued only after the end of the war.

All subsequent years, a huge work was carried out to improve the institute and the quality of education. Over the years, students were able to observe the growing infrastructure of the institute. Dormitories and swimming pools, educational buildings and sports facilities were built.

In 1992 the institute was transformed into the Academy of Physical Education and Sports. The academy's students and alumni have won gold medals on the international stage, which made it possible for teachers to understand that they are moving in the right direction.

Over time, more and more departments and faculties were created, which allowed students to receive physical training in a narrow direction. And already in 2000 doctoral studies became available to students.

In 2003, the academy was renamed the university. Since then, the educational institution has been proudly called the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.

And in 2017, the university held a solemn event on the occasion of the 80th anniversary.

Faculties of Belarusian State University of Physical Education

Today the university offers a choice of three faculties:

• Sports and Pedagogical Faculty of Sports Games and Martial Arts;

• Sports and Pedagogical Faculty of Mass Sports;

• Faculty of health-improving physical culture.

Graduate School of Coaches

The higher school of trainers trains specialists in the field of physical culture. Here coaches can improve their qualifications.

The main task of the Center "Higher School of Trainers" is to create and improve an established system of training specialists in accordance with international standards. Here, the author's methods are used and only professionals in their field work.

Institute for advanced training and retraining of executives and specialists in physical culture, sports and tourism

Belarusian State University of Physical Education carries out retraining of specialists in accordance and with the list of special permits for the right to carry out management activities.

The main activity of the institute is to meet the needs of federations in sports, as well as the desire of some coaches and managers to improve their level of training in the field of physical culture and sports.

Admission to Belarusian State University of Physical Education

An applicant who has passed 2 entrance tests will be able to enter the university. The first is CT, that is, the applicant must receive a CT certificate (in accordance with the chosen faculty and specialty) with a score for the corresponding year of admission. The second stage will be a profile test at the university. The test is carried out in the form of practical tests in accordance with regulatory requirements. Here, experts will check your level of training and decide whether you can continue your studies at the university.

Sports club Belarusian State University of Physical Education

The sports club was created on the basis of the university. Its main tasks are:

• Unification of university specialists for the development and strengthening of mass sports work in an educational institution;

• Creation of comfortable conditions for students to combine the educational process with practical exercises.

The main direction of the development of the sports club is the contribution of sports to the harmonious development of students.
