History of the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives

The history of the educational institution began in 1975, when a branch of the Moscow Cooperative Institute was opened in Gomel. And after 4 years the branch became an independent university.

In 2000, the institute was a leader in the country's cooperative education system. The motivation and responsibility assigned to the university served to formulate and implement an effective education system, which is still popular today. At the same time, the university produced specialists who were in demand in the labor market.

The Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel was opened in the same years, which provides retraining of specialists in the profile of the university. The Institute functioned with the aim of training specialists for further employment and providing the system of consumer cooperation with specialized specialists.

In 2001, BTEU developed and introduced a new curriculum, according to which the level of education at the university corresponded to educational standards. And the teaching staff took an active part in the discussion of standards in the work of republican educational institutions.

In 2002, the first issue of the Consumer Cooperatives magazine was published.

Also, BTEU actively operates the Center for Business Education, which has implemented more than 40 projects in the history of the university.

In 2005, the university began to offer bachelors the 2nd stage of higher education - the master's degree.

And already in the following years the university began active work on the development of international relations with Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, etc.

Faculties of the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives

Nowadays BTEU students study at the following faculties:

• Faculty of Commerce;

• Accounting and Finance Faculty;

• Faculty of Economics and Management;

• Faculty of advanced training and retraining.

Admission to the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperation

An applicant who decided to enter BTEU is obliged to bring the following documents to the admissions office:

• application by sample;

• documents on education with an application;

• medical certificate of health status;

• documents confirming student benefits;

• 6 photographs measuring 3 x 4 cm.

If the applicant applies for a budget place, he additionally needs to take:

• identity document;

• 5 envelopes with a stamp in the Republic of Belarus.

Master's degree at the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperation

Bachelors interested in magistracy are required to bring to the admissions office:

• a statement on the sample;

• obligatory document on higher education of the 1st stage with an attachment. If the diploma is issued at a foreign university, a certificate of recognition will be required for the corresponding diploma issued in the Republic of Belarus;

• an extract of recommendations for studying at the magistracy (for graduates of the current year);

• 4 photographs measuring 3 x 4 cm;

• medical certificate of health status;

• identity document;

• list and copies of published scientific works.
