Cookie policyThe history of the university began in 1951, when the first agricultural institute was opened in Grodno. The institute immediately recruited students to the agronomic and zootechnical faculties. The teaching staff of the educational institution was represented by specialists, most of whom had the status of candidates of sciences.
Over time, the faculty continued to develop, new faculties and disciplines were created. The faculty of advanced training was opened, as well as pre-university training of applicants.
In 2000, the institute was renamed into the Agricultural University. Throughout its history, the university has provided the entire Grodno region with personnel who occupy leading positions at many agricultural enterprises.
Some graduates bear the proud title of Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of the Republic of Belarus and Honored Workers of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus.
Today the university has a wide infrastructure, which includes hostels, a canteen, a recreation center, a library, a museum, etc. The university is interested in the development of students, both in the educational industry and the development of their creative potential, therefore, it invites students to take part in amateur art circles.
GSAU teaches students at several levels of higher education: bachelor's, master's, doctoral studies. Within the walls of the university there is a publishing center, the purpose of which is to produce textbooks for students and teachers of the university. Practice at GSAU takes place both in Belarus and in 8 European countries.
The university invites applicants to the following faculties:
• Agronomic Faculty;
• Biotechnology Faculty;
• Engineering and Technology Faculty;
• Faculty of Accounting;
• Faculty of Veterinary Medicine;
• Graduate School of Management;
• Faculty of Plant Protection;
• Faculty of Economics.
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to the admissions office:
• a sample application (filled in at the university);
•the passport;
• documents on education with an application;
• certificates of CT held in the Republic of Belarus in the year of admission / for the previous year;
• medical certificate of health status in the form;
• 4 photographs (3 * 4 cm.);
• Documents confirming the benefits of the applicant;
• 1 envelope with stamps.
Foreign applicants have the opportunity to study at the GSAU. To do this, you need to collect the following documents:
• application for admission to training (to be completed on the spot);
• documents on education with an application;
• conclusion of the medical consulting commission of the Republic of Belarus;
• medical report on the absence of HIV infection;
• birth certificate;
• 6 photos 3х4 cm.
All documents must be translated into Russian and notarized. Additionally, the applicant must have a passport, an appropriate visa and medical insurance.
