The Institute is the first private institution of higher education in Belarus. The Institute trains specialists in the field of design, musical variety art, production, foreign languages, cultural studies, international tourism. Famous cultural figures, leading experts in the field of design, pop art, members of creative unions, doctors and candidates of sciences teach at the Institute. The founder of the Institute is Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Alexander Mikhailovich Shirokov.
The institute has many modern areas of study. This is the department of design, the department of artistic creativity and production. The department trains specialists in the areas; instrumental music, computer music, singing, production. There is also a humanitarian faculty, a department of intercultural communication, a department of cultural studies, a department of social and humanitarian disciplines and management, a department of higher mathematics and computer science. Admission to the Institute of Contemporary Knowledge named after A.M. Shirokoy. Acceptance of documents for admission to the university is carried out for persons passing the exam «Creativity» (specialties «Design», «Variety Art») – from 25 to 31 July; for other specialties – from July 25 to August 15. Entrance tests are held from 1 to 7 August. Enrollment takes place until August 17.
The Institute recruits foreign citizens who speak Russian for the following specialties: pop art (instrumental music); variety art (singing); variety art (production); cultural studies. Form of study – full–time (full–time) (4 years), part–time (5 years).To enroll, you must submit an application before October 15, pass an interview for knowledge of the Russian language, as well as an interview in the discipline «Creativity.» The cost of training varies from 1400 to 3300 dollars per year.
The master's degree provides a unique opportunity to deepen professional knowledge, acquire the skills of scientific and pedagogical and research work. The term of study is 1 year (full–time) and 1.5 years (part–time); for foreign citizens – from 1 to 2 years. The competition for admission to the magistracy can be attended by persons who have received a higher education of the 1st stage, confirmed by the corresponding document on education. Applicants for correspondence courses must have work experience of at least 10 months. The deadline for accepting documents is from June 27 to July 5. The date of the entrance examinations is from 6 to 12 July. The estimated cost of studying for a master's degree is from 1500 to 4000 rubles
