10 medals at the World Rowing Championships

Belarusian athletes made a strong statement at the 2025 ICF Canoe Sprint Junior and U23 World Championships, Minsk-News reports.

Over the course of the event, which wrapped up on July 27, the national team earned an impressive 10-medal haul — 4 golds, 5 silvers, and 1 bronze.

The competition featured two age categories: under 18 and under 23. The final medal — a silver in the men’s K2 500m — was secured by Emil Abalmasau and Georgy Vorozhun (U23).

Among the standout performances were:

  • Maria Popichich and Polina Sobol (U18, C2 500m),

  • Yuliya Trushkina and Inna Nedelkina (U23, C2 200m),

  • Yegor Ovchinnikov and Vadim Lytchev (U18, C2 500m),

  • and the women’s quartet of Ekaterina Sementsova, Inna Nedelkina, Eva Danilchuk, and Anna Naletko (U23, C4 500m), who all captured gold.

The results confirm Belarus as a rising force in canoe sprint — with young athletes demonstrating world-class skill and coordination on the international stage.
