2/3 of the planned mixtures were spent on snow removal in Minsk

Since the beginning of winter, 36 thousand tons of halite and 33 thousand tons of sand-salt mixture have been used to process the Minsk roads, writes the Minsk-News agency.

In total, 51.4 thousand sand-salt mixture and 46.9 thousand tons of salt were allocated for the winter period. Despite the fact that there were no active snowfalls in Minsk this winter, there is a lot of snow due to frequent small snowfalls with a blizzard. Therefore, snow removal requires large volumes of special mixtures.

There are also 600 units of snow removal equipment and 750 cleaners working in the city every day.

In total, about 20 thousand cubic meters of snow have been removed from the streets of Minsk since the beginning of winter.
