$2 million fountain in the center of Minsk

In Minsk, the construction of a $2 million fountain on the Svisloch River has been completed, reports Onliner. What does the new tourist attraction look like?

The fountain, located on the Svisloch River in the center of Minsk, is a gift to the city from “Sberbank”. The total cost of the building the fountain was $2-2,5 million. All construction work has already been completed, but now a test launch is being carried out and the technical parameters of the fountain are being adjusted.

The fountain measuring 90 × 16 meters consists of 199 streams reaching a height of 30 meters. The creators paid much attention on effects and provided the fountain with a running track, side arches, rotating streams, fans, lilies and a water screen for broadcasting a multimedia show.

The fountain should be opened soon, according to the Minsk authorities, the launch was scheduled for the 3^rd of July, the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. However, “Sberbank” supposes that the fountain will be launched from mid-July.
