A Belarusian family spends an average of 1,700 byr ($530) per month with an average income of 2,050 byr ($640). Most of the money is spent on food, Office Life reported with reference to Belstat.

The average family income in the country is 2,050 ($640). In cities, the income is higher and reaches 2150 ($670), in villages it is much lower and amounts to 1700byr ($530).

Spending on food takes up 40% of all expenses per month, or about $212. Plus 33% of expenses are spent on the purchase of clothing and non-food products, and 25% is spent on utility bills.

In recent months, Belarusians are taking more loans.
