A competition to reduce emissions has started in Belarus

The competition among organizations to reduce emissions from motor vehicles began on January 1, the Minsk-News agency writes.

Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs can participate in the competition.

Participants will send reports and receive points that are awarded for the purchase of new vehicles, for the number of vehicles converted to run on compressed natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas, for the availability of vehicles of environmental classes, for electric transport and for fuel economy. Points will be deducted for violations.

There are two nominations in the competition: for organizations with 25-100 cars and for organizations with more than a hundred cars. Three organizations will be selected in each nomination, the winners will receive payments.
