A local fee for vehicles crossing the state border of Belarus at checkpoints will be introduced in the Vitebsk region from August 1, belta.by reports.

The fee is introduced until January 1, 2023. Its rate will be 1 basic rate (29 BYN) per vehicle, regardless of the number of passengers.

A local fee for crossing the border has already been introduced in the Gomel, Grodno and Brest regions of Belarus.
