A new section of road is operating near Mir

The opening ceremony of a new section of the highway bypassing the village of Mir, where Mir Castle is located, took place on Thursday, Sputnik reported.

Construction work began in April of this year and ended 3 months ahead of schedule. The length of the section is 4.57 kilometers, and the width of the road surface is 8 meters.

The total cost of the project amounted to 15.4 million Belarusian rubles. Now the flow of transit trucks will go near the village, and not through its central part. This will improve the environmental situation in the area.
