A new Volkswagen crossover will soon appear in Belarus
Production of the Volkswagen Taos compact crossover has begun in Nizhny Novgorod. In the near future, the car will arrive in Belarus, av.by reports.
Investments in the production of the most compact and affordable crossover on the Russian market amounted to 63 million euros.
The Taos is built on the MQB platform and is more compact than the Tiguan: its length is 4417 mm, width-1841 mm, height-1602 mm. It is an analog of the Skoda Karoq.
The model will be offered in three versions: Respect, Status and Exclusive.
For the Belarusian market, the crossover will be offered with two engine options: an atmospheric 110 hp power in combination with a 5-manual or 6-automatic transmission and front-wheel drive and a turbocharged 150-horsepower engine paired with an 8-automatic transmission and front-wheel drive or with a 7-automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive. Information about the cost of the Volkswagen Taos is not yet available, but it is expected that it will be slightly cheaper than the larger Tiguan.
