A pianist from Belarus took 3rd place at an international competition in Germany

Maria Skarinova took 3rd place at the Young Euregio Piano Award Online Edition 2022 international piano competition, BELTA writes. Maria competed with pianists at the age of 12-14 years.

At the beginning of 2022, Maria also received a diploma of the first-degree laureate of the International multi-genre Prizvanije festival-competition (Moscow and St. Petersburg). 

Maria Skarinova is a graduate of the Shumilina Children's Art School, which is located in the urban settlement of Shumilina in Belarus. She is in her second year at the practice school at Novopolotsk State College of Music in the piano class.

The Young Euregio Piano Award Online Edition is a prestigious international piano competition, which is a member of the Alinka-Argerich Foundation and is supported by the management of Geilenkirchen (Germany). Creative competitions were held online and consisted of two rounds. About 60 musicians from 24 countries participated in the final of the competition. Besides Belarus, China, Russia, Korea, Spain, Turkey, Great Britain, Austria, Canada, USA and others were represented.
