A renewed XIX century hotel will open in the Minsk center in February

Zalkind Hotel will open in the center of Minsk in February. The monument of architecture of the XIX century was restored in 3 years and reinterpreted as a boutique hotel. This will be the first place in the city, decorated in the spirit of a historical journey through epochs and continents. Reservation for pre-premiere check-in by February 14 is already available.

Zalkind Hotel is located on Revolyutsionnaya Street, 24 next to the pedestrian street. The stone building was built in 1843 and changed owners several times, until in 1883 it was acquired by a family of Borisov merchants. The new owner Shepshel Zalkind rebuilt the building after the fire and added a third floor. For a long time, entrepreneurs and employees were received here, and at the turn of the century the building was considered one of the best rental houses in Minsk.

The Zalkind house was restored with historical accuracy. The architects kept the old layouts and used the artifacts found, such as the wrought-iron railing of the stairs. The facade was also restored to its former appearance, in the center of which there is a unique dark green openwork balcony. Such a combination of Renaissance pattern with bas-reliefs can no longer be found in any house in Minsk.

The boutique hotel includes 26 rooms. Each of them is unique in layout and design. The most compact are small single rooms with a bed by the window with a view of the neighboring roofs, as in historical hotels in Paris. The most spacious are family apartments with two bedrooms, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

All rooms also have different interiors to discover something new every time. Eclecticism and loft are used as the basis, but inclusions from other styles are also used. The double beds are surrounded by frescoes and fantasy wallpaper, referring to different eras and cultures. Many rooms have open bathrooms with large windows. Eco-materials prevail in the decor.

"We tried to create a real impressions hotel in Minsk. We see it as a place where people come for an impression, and not just a quiet overnight stay and a delicious breakfast. And at the same time, we carefully treated the rich past of the building, returning it to its former greatness. And a touch of time and space travel was introduced into the historical entourage. Each room has its own unique interior, mood and character. And this will radically distinguish us from all other hotels," the representatives of Zalkind Hotel said.

The historic boutique hotel will open in the second half of February. And from February 12, the pre-premiere check-in for Valentine's Day starts. It is intended to introduce the hotel to foreign and Belarusian guests, who are promised to surprise in a good way. Such a format is rare, and it is a kind of exclusive - the right of the first night. Room prices for two start at BYN286 ($107).

The building also houses the classic Zalkind Kitchen restaurant and two bars with different concepts. The menu includes Jewish hummus, tom yam, octopus and steaks. Breakfast will be served here in the morning, and during the day the establishments will remain open not only for hotel guests. The entire space is also decorated in the same style, and the walls are lavishly decorated with historical lithographs and drawings.
