A schoolgirl from Voronovo has created an innovative prosthetic hand

A schoolgirl from Voronovo has created an innovative prosthetic hand using pneumatic systems, BelTA shares.

The model got into the final of the republican project "100 ideas for Belarus". The prosthesis works on the basis of artificial muscles made of silicone tubes that contract when air is pumped.

The control is carried out using a bending sensor, allowing to perform 3-5 gestures with high accuracy.

The project has a low cost and prospects for improvement. Such prostheses can become an affordable alternative that has no analogues on the market.
