AI at the university: Belarusian university revises its approach to learning

Students of Minsk State Linguistic University will have the opportunity to study individual subjects using artificial intelligence (AI) in the next academic year, Sputnik writes.

The rector of the university, Natalia Lapteva, said that disciplines related to the use of neural networks in teaching foreign languages have already been included in the curriculum for students of the specialty "modern foreign languages". These subjects will be available to students enrolled in 2022 and will be included in their curriculum in their third year.

In addition to this, the rector also noted that a new specialty "digital linguistics" may appear next academic year. The University is preparing the necessary documents to submit this specialty for approval, emphasizing that the educational institution remains committed to training specialists in the field of teaching foreign languages, translation and intercultural communication.
