Air space of Belarus will be closed to European airlines until 2029
The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation has made a forecast for passenger air transportation for 2023-2029. According to the report, the air spaces of Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine will remain closed to European air carriers until 2029, Sputnik reported.
In the updated report, experts state that the aviation industry has not yet recovered from the coronavirus pandemic. According to forecasts, the number of flights may reach the level of 2019 only by 2025. After that, stagnation will come, given the risk of high inflation, rising oil prices and environmental problems.
One of the factors affecting the state of the industry is the closure of the airspace of Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine for flights.
In general, experts predict a general deterioration of the economic situation and a decline in GDP for the next two years. It is expected that the increase in energy prices and the cost of living in general will affect the demand for flights, and the shortage of staff will affect the capacity of airlines and airports.
Let us remind you, that Belarus established visa-free regime for guests of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk.
