An exhibition of wedding dresses has opened ar Minsk City History Museum

The exhibition "How beautiful the bride is, and the groom to match her" has opened at Minsk City History Museum, BelTA reports.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of wedding culture and fashion. The collection includes wedding dresses and accessories covering the period from the 1950s to the 2010s from the funds of the Brest Regional Museum of Local Studies, the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle, as well as private collections.

There are also wedding towels reflecting the traditions of the Belarusian region and painted wedding chests, which, in addition to their decorative function, symbolize the wish of well-being to the newlyweds.

The exhibition will continue to operate until June 23, providing an opportunity for museum guests to plunge into the rich heritage of wedding traditions from different times and regions.
