Annual inflation in Belarus slowed down to 6%
Prices for March increased by an average of 0.6%. In February, prices rose by 1.3% compared to January. Thus, annual inflation (March 2023 to March 2022) amounted to 6%, Sputnik reported.
In February, inflation was 11.7% and 12% in January. The annual increase in food prices in March was 9.2%.
According to experts of the Eurasian Development Bank, if there are no economic shocks, inflation will decrease to about 4% in the second quarter of the year.
In March, Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by 4%.
