Arab sheikhs are going to build an international financial center in Minsk

According to tut.by, yesterday Alexander Lukashenko met with Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. Among other things, the President discussed with him the creation of an international financial center in Minsk with the help of the UAE.

According to the press service of the President, at the meeting with the Arab Sheikh, in particular, they discussed promising projects in the transport, logistics and financial spheres. One of them provides for the establishment of an international financial center in Minsk with the help of the Emirati side. The concept of the project is currently being finalized

It is assumed that the financial center will be not only business, entertainment and tourist areas, but also an international exhibition complex. "This will be the largest investment project. The area is up to a thousand hectares, " says one of the interlocutors of the portal.

Now Arab investors are preparing the concept of the complex, which will eventually fall on the table of Alexander Lukashenko. He will have the last word, because to implement such a project, it is necessary to adopt presidential decrees.

Firstly, it will be necessary to make changes to the General Plan of Minsk to withdraw from circulation arable land on which they want to build the financial center. Secondly, for such projects, a different tax regime is usually established.
