Avenue in the UAE was named after Minsk

In the emirate of Ras al Khaimah in the north of the UAE, one of the streets was named after Minsk city, the Minsk-News agency writes with reference to Onliner.

Ras al Khaimah is about an hour's drive from Dubai International Airport. This city is only gaining popularity among tourists and the atmosphere is very different from Dubai. There are few high-rise buildings here now, but active construction is underway. New hotels and residential complexes are appearing along the coast, a full-fledged resort is being built. Minsk Street is located on its territory.

Minsk Street is a wide avenue that runs along one of the outer borders of the resort. Now there is a British school here, and a territory for an administrative and business district has been allocated nearby.
