Ban on the sale of housing through bonds

On May 4, Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 176, which prohibits the registration of housing bonds. The document was adopted in order to protect the interests of citizens who invest in housing construction, tut.by reports.

It will be possible to register housing bonds only in exceptional cases, namely for the purpose of implementing investment agreements between investors and Belarus. At the same time, the contracts must be concluded before the decree comes into force.

The decree will come into force 6 months after its official publication.
