Belarus abolished customs duty on electric vehicles

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has abolished the customs duty on the import of electric vehicles into the EAEU countries until 2024, citydog.by writes with a link to Vedomosti.

The duty on the import of electric cars will be 0% for citizens permanently residing in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Until the end of 2021, Belarus and the EAEU countries had a preferential regime for the import of electric vehicles with a duty of 0%. In 2022, the import duty was 15%.
