Belarus and Hungary will create a cooperative business council. This decision was made at the Hungarian-Belarusian business forum held on April 28belta.by reports.

The event was held in an online format.

Questions about conducting online seminars on woodworking and construction, as well as regional business forums were raised at the forum. Under conditions of the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, the countries planned to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental trade and economic commission in Budapest in the second half of the year.

The embassy also said that the countries have decided to establish a cooperative Belarusian-Hungarian business council on the basis of the chambers of commerce of the two countries.

The trade turnover between Belarus and Hungary in 2020 reached $245.5 million, while Belarusian exports amounted to $121.8 million (93.2% compared to 2019).

Belarus supplies Hungary with railway wagons, potash and mineral fertilizers, plywood, parts and accessories for cars and tractors, furniture, as well as tractors themselves (Belarus supplied 412 units of tractors via Poland in 2020).
