Belarus and Hungary strengthen cooperation in nuclear energy

Belarus and Hungary have signed a roadmap for cooperation in the field of nuclear energy for 2025–2027, according to Sputnik.

The document was developed within the framework of a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between the relevant agencies of both countries.

The partnership includes the exchange of expertise in the development of nuclear infrastructure, safety assurance, radioactive waste management, and technical support for nuclear power plant operations. A working meeting was held in Budapest with the participation of specialists and the Ambassador of Belarus to Hungary, Vladimir Ulakhovich.

Hungary’s Paks II Nuclear Power Plant has already expressed interest in collaborating with Belarusian experts.
