Belarus and Russia sign agreement on transportation of nuclear materials

The agreement was signed on November 8 by the Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and the Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev, minsknews.by reports.

"The document was signed within the framework of the implementation of the Union program in the field of nuclear energy, approved by the Heads of State on November 4" - the ministry noted.

The document defines the procedure for the transportation of nuclear materials between countries. The parties also discussed the construction of the Belarusian NPP and further cooperation between Belarus and Rosatom.
