Belarus and Russia signed an agreement on mutual recognition of visas
Belarus and Russia signed an agreement establishing mutual recognition of visas, as well as some other customs issues, Belta reports.
The agreement contains the rules of the entry of foreign citizens in Belarus and Russia. Now it is enough for foreign citizens to have a visa of only one of the states in order to enter, stay or transit the territory of another state. It is required to have only an identity document, as well as a valid visa.
Foreign citizens can cross the borders of the Union states using air and rail transport, as well as the roads specified in the agreement.
The draft agreement was prepared at the end of 2018, but only now was signed by the parties. This agreement is recognized to create favourable conditions for foreign citizens.
