Belarus approves price stabilization program

The government and the State Control Committee of Belarus have approved an action program for price stabilization and price control for 2022, Minsk-News writes.

The strategic plan covers several areas. Among them is the saturation of the domestic market with goods: legalization of parallel imports, import substitution of agricultural products, improvement of the system of stabilization funds.

Payment for energy resources will be made in Russian rubles. The plan provides for reducing costs, improving public procurement, changing the list of state-regulated prices for goods, improving pricing and monitoring this process.

It is also planned to extend the discount agreements and control the prices of imported goods. Some of these measures are already being implemented.

We recently wrote that Belarus would pay its debt obligations on Eurobonds in Belarusian rubles.
