Belarus consumes more electricity

In the first half of 2023, the volume of electricity consumption in Belarus increased by 946 million kWh, Minsk-News reported.

According to the Minister of Energy of Belarus, the increase in energy consumption was due to growth in the real sector of the economy. The consumption of electricity for heating and hot water supply by the population has also increased by 1.4 times.

Also, the increase in consumption is caused by the construction of residential buildings that are heated with electricity.

In order to expand the possibilities of using electricity in all regions of the country, the power grid infrastructure is being reconstructed.
