Belarus extended suspension of flights to Russia

Belavia again suspended regular flights to Russian cities, reports tut.by. The break in air traffic between the countries will last until the 31st of July.

Due to the spread of coronavirus and difficult epidemiological situation, Russia cut off air communications with Belarus and closed its borders on the 18th of March this year.

Belavia, in turn, suspended regular flights to seven Russian cities, in particular, to Sochi and Zhukovsky Airport in Moscow (one of the most popular destinations among Belarusians and Russians). Later flights to St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports in Moscow were also cancelled.

Vladimir Semashko supposes that Russia will be able to open borders with Belarus and restore the flights in late July - early August.
