Belarus extended the ban on the import of some products
Belarus has extended the food embargo on goods from Western countries for another six months, BelTA reported.
Until June 30, 2023, Belarus cannot import goods from the European Union, the United States of America, Canada, Norway, Albania, Iceland, Northern Macedonia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Montenegro, Switzerland.
The list of prohibited goods includes:
- meat and meat products,
- milk and dairy products,
- potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, cabbage,
- apples,
- nuts,
- confectionery products,
- salt and other goods.
Despite the embargo, food prices in Belarus decreased by an average of 1% in November.
