Belarus' GDP decreased by 4.7% in 2022
Belarus' GDP fell by 4.7% in January-October this year, Sputnik reported. The volume of GDP at current prices amounted to 159 billion Belarusian rubles. The share of the IT sector in Belarus' GDP reached 7%.
Earlier it became known that for 9 months of 2022, Belarus' GDP decreased by 4.7%. At the same time, for 8 months of this year, the decline in the most important economic indicator was 4.9%. This suggests that the economy has stopped shrinking.
According to the most important parameters of the forecast of socio-economic development of Belarus for 2022, GDP growth was planned at the level of 2.9% to the level of 2021.
The head of the Belarusian government forecast GDP to increase by 3.8% in 2023.
