Belarus' GDP forecasts for 2023

Forecasts for Belarus' GDP vary. The World Bank in its January forecast states that the GDP in Belarus may fall by 2.3% in 2023, Sputnik reported. Some financial organizations predict growth.

At the same time, World Bank experts believe that Belarus' GDP will grow by 2.5% in 2024. Earlier, in June 2022, the forecast was different. Experts expected an increase of 1.5% in 2023, and 1.6% in 2024.

In a recent review by the Eurasian Development Bank, experts suggested that GDP will increase by 0.3% in 2023. Growth of 0.5% is forecast in 2024.

The Belarusian authorities have set a goal to increase GDP by 3.8% in 2023. At the same time, GDP decreased by 4.7% last year.
