Belarus got to top-3 countries with the cheapest Internet
British Analytical company Сable.co.uk published a price map of fixed and mobile Internet, devby.io writes. Belarus ranks 3rd and is among the three countries with the cheapest broadband Internet in 2022.
The cheapest broadband Internet is in Syria ($2.15). Sudan is in second place ($4.8). In Belarus, the average cost of a broadband Internet package is $7.4 per month.
Researchers note that more than 85% of the population of Belarus has access to the Internet. Also, a lot of attention is paid to the developing IT sector in the country and the speed of the Internet is growing thanks to investments in infrastructure.
The mobile Internet survey covered 233 countries, among which Belarus ranked 58th. The average cost of 1 GB of traffic is $0.79. The countries with the most affordable mobile Internet are Israel ($0.04), Italy ($0.12) and San Marino ($0.14).
