Belarus has allowed the import and use of the Russian vaccine "KoviVak"

The Ministry of Health of Belarus has issued a permit for the import and use of the Russian KoviVak vaccine against coronavirusminsknews.by reports.

This inactivated whole-virion concentrated purified vaccine is designed to prevent and eliminate the consequences of epidemic diseases.

The drug is a suspension for intramuscular administration and is produced by the Federal Scientific Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Drugs named after M.P. Chumakov of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Russia).

The documents submitted by the manufacturer have been examined and comply with the requirements of the laws of Belarus.

On December 6, vaccine arrived at the pharmacy warehouse, and from December 13-15, more than 300 thousand doses have already been sent to all regions of Belarus.

The vaccine is based on the inactivated virus SARS-CoV-2. The same platform is used in two Chinese vaccines - Sinopharm and Sinovac. Experts believe that the body tolerates vaccination with "Kovivak" more easily than with "Sputnik V".
