Belarus has introduced criminal liability for the sale of bank card details

Criminal liability for the transfer of bank card details for personal gain has been introduced in Belarus, sputnik.by reports.

"This year, such criminal liability has been introduced against fake persons who sell details of their bank cards, SIM cards for personal gain" - Ivan Sudnikovich, senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Investigative Committee, said at a briefing on November 22.

According to him, there are many cases when investigators, having solved a crime, come to a citizen with a search, but it turns out that he issued a card or phone number and handed them over to the criminal for personal gain.

Sudnikovich added that a person faces up to ten years in prison for this crime.
