Belarus has the lowest unemployment rate among EAEU countries

In January 2022, unemployment in the Eurasian Economic Union decreased, the lowest level was recorded in Belarus, BELTA writes.

The number of unemployed registered in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, as of the end of January 2022, amounted to 983.8 thousand people. This is 1% of the workforce. In 2021, this figure was 3.1%.

According to the EEC, there were 6.3 thousand unemployed in Belarus at the end of January 2022, which is 0.1% of the workforce. In Kazakhstan, unemployment rate was 1.5%, in Russia it was 0.9%.
