Belarus introduces additional benefits and preferences for the import of electric cars

Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on Monday that extends the benefits and preferences to all categories of electric cars, minsknews.by reports.

The document exempts legal entities from paying VAT when importing and selling electric cars on the territory of Belarus. In addition, manufacturers of electric cars were also exempted from VAT when importing the necessary components for them.

The decree is intended to stimulate the use of electric cars and the development of charging infrastructure for them.
