Belarus Introduces Electronic Visas

Starting in three months, Belarus will implement an electronic visa (e-visa) system, enabling citizens from 67 approved countries to apply online for a single-entry visa valid for up to 30 days, Sputnik reports.

Key Details:

• Eligible Countries: The list includes nations like the USA, Canada, Australia, EU countries, Japan, and South Korea.
• Categories of Visas: Business, tourism, participation in cultural, sports, educational, and scientific events, private matters, and internships.
• Processing Time: Applications will be reviewed within seven calendar days; expedited processing is not available.
• Requirements: Travelers must present their e-visa in digital or printed form upon entry and during their stay if requested by authorities.

Application Process:

• Conducted through the automated "Consul" system via Belarus’s electronic public services portal.
• Involves a service fee.

This decision aims to streamline the visa process and improve access for eligible international visitors.
