Belarus is among 25 best countries for motherhood

Belarus ranks 25th in the list of the most comfortable countries in the world for motherhood. It is also among 50 best countries for pregnancy management and delivery conditions, the Minsk-News agency reports after a press conference of the Ministry of Health of Belarus.

In Belarus, more than 97% of women seek counseling in the early stages of pregnancy. Also, more than 70% of expectant mothers have the opportunity to do biochemical screening for early detection of Down syndrome and other hereditary diseases. More than 95% of expectant mothers undergo screening ultrasound. Thanks to this, doctors annually identify more than 1,500 congenital malformations of the fetus.
