Belarus joined the amendment to Convention on Protection of Nuclear Material

Belarus has joined the amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material, BelTA reported. Belarus has become the 133rd party to this international treaty.

The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, welcomed this step by the Belarusian side and emphasized the openness of Belarus and the expert support of the IAEA.

The Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and its amendment are the only legally binding international legal instruments in the field of the physical protection of nuclear material.

Let us remind you that the Academy of Sciences of Belarus to expand cooperation with several countries.
