Belarus may increase discounts on socially important goods

The discount for socially important goods is planned to be increased from 10% to 15%, Minsk-News reports with reference to the interview by the Board Chairman of the Belarusian Union of Consumer Societies.

According to the Board Chairman, the agreement with retail chains to provide discounts to certain categories of citizens will be extended, and its size will be increased to 15%.

Discounts on socially important goods appeared on January 17, 2022. Low-income Belarusians, pensioners and large families can receive a discount. Now discounts are provided by stores of 17 retail chains across the country.
