Belarus Opens Its First Evidence-Based Phytopharmacy Research Center

The Belarusian State Medical University has opened the country’s first research center dedicated to evidence-based phytopharmacy, according to Belarus Today.

The center includes a collection of more than 200 herbarium species, a database of over 300 medicinal plants, and specialized laboratories for pharmaceutical botany, pharmacognosy, and aromatherapy.

It will provide practical training for pharmacy students and support research into new medicines based on plant-derived raw materials.
