Belarus plans to start IT company for people with autism

The speaker of the Parliament of Belarus told about plans to start an IT company in which people with autism can work, Sputnik reported.

Natalya Kochanova, Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus, said that IT is well suited for people with autism, since there is no need to deal with people a lot. Nothing more is known about the detailed plans.

A year ago Natalya Kochanova held a meeting on creating conditions for education, rehabilitation, social adaptation and physical development of children with autism spectrum disorders. Then the Minister of Health noted that in 5 years the number of children with autism in Belarus has increased 2.5 times. Now there are more than 2.7 thousand of them.
